USDA Crop Reports Preview

The May round of USDA reports will be intensely analyzed by the futures markets. The World Agriculture Supply & Demand Estimates (WASDE) will weigh in on 2008-09 ending stocks figures that may confirm or refute traders' outlooks for new crop corn, soybeans and wheat. The current expectations are bullish for corn.
Bush May Not Stop Farm Bill

Comments by President Bush to House Ag Committee ranking member Bob Goodlatte that members need to vote for their districts' best interests on the farm bill may lead to a veto-proof majority vote on the legislation.

Both Dan Pedersen and Brad Lindstrom made considerable planting progress this week. Dan is wrapping up corn planting and the Lindstroms have one planter running continuously.
